Pacific Biosciences of California contributed its HiFi whole-genome and RNA sequencing capabilities to the 5th Undiagnosed Hackathon held in Singapore.

The event gathered 140 participants from more than 30 countries to address complex undiagnosed disease cases. The company provided sequencing support for select samples as part of the multinational collaboration.

Pacific Biosciences recently launched Vega SPRQ-Nx to expand access to its HiFi sequencing technology for biopharma research, according to a previous announcement. The company also released an upgraded chemistry that delivers 50 percent more HiFi data and reduces cost per gigabase by 40 percent, as noted in a separate update. These developments aim to make advanced sequencing more accessible to researchers.
