Virgin Galactic plans three missions

Virgin Galactic announced a new collaboration with Space for Humanity to conduct three missions that will offer up to 18 astronauts a shared view of Earth.

The partnership aims to open space travel to purpose-driven leaders interested in bringing their new perspectives back home. No further operational details were disclosed in the announcement.

Virgin Galactic has recently advanced its pilot training program with the completion of the Unity 35 glide flight at Spaceport America. The company also carried out ground vibration testing on its spaceship, using bungee suspension and over 150 sensors to capture data, according to an earlier update on its engineering process. These operational developments follow Virgin Galactic’s latest effort to increase access to space through new partnerships.
