Dow Jones partners with Polymarket to publish market predictions

Polymarket, one of the leading prediction market platforms, has entered into an exclusive agreement with Dow Jones Media. As a result of the deal, Polymarket’s forecast data will be published in outlets such as The Wall Street Journal and Barron’s, both online and in print.

Highlights

  • Prediction markets are gaining momentum and becoming increasingly popular among institutional firms and retail investors.
  • Partnerships between Polymarket and Kalshi with media groups and tech giants are turning forecasts into a new form of mainstream media content.
  • Dow Jones Media publications are preparing to publish forecasts related to the earnings reports of publicly traded companies.

Leading prediction platforms Polymarket and Kalshi have signed numerous media agreements in recent months, as prediction markets continue to strengthen their presence in the U.S. and abroad, and their data becomes increasingly valuable for both financial institutions and individual investors.

Polymarket is currently the exclusive prediction markets partner of Yahoo Finance, while Google Finance will display Polymarket and Kalshi data in search results. In addition, Kalshi is an official partner of CNN, integrating prediction market data into its programming.

“The value of Polymarket is that they have data — collective intelligence, decentralized data from all over the world, essentially the wisdom of the crowd — which allows for much more accurate predictions of what will happen,” Leo Chan, co-founder and CEO of predictive analytics startup Sportstensor, told The Block.

Earlier this week, Polymarket announced that it will offer a new set of prediction markets related to the real estate market through an integration with the on-chain real estate platform Parcl.
