Solana network growth contrasts with weak price momentum
Network strength fails to lift Solana’s price.

Solana is expanding its artificial intelligence and stablecoin teams while setting a new record for processed transactions. However, the market still needs a strong catalyst to move beyond its current phase, and the CLARITY Act could potentially fill that role.

The Solana Foundation is strengthening its teams across artificial intelligence and stablecoins. Open senior positions include GM, AI Ecosystem, who will be responsible for developing projects at the intersection of AI and blockchain, and Head of Stablecoins, who will oversee strategy, partnerships with issuers, and liquidity growth across the ecosystem. The expansion indicates Solana’s intention to strengthen its position in two rapidly growing segments of the cryptocurrency market.

Strong network activity further supports the positive fundamental picture. In July, Solana processed 4.244 billion transactions, setting a new monthly all-time high after the previous record was reached in June. Solana’s official dashboard tracks the total number of transactions, including successful and failed operations, as well as validator voting transactions.

Channel breakout could define Solana’s next move

The scenario outlined previously has materialized, with SOL briefly approaching $70. However, buyers managed to defend this level, allowing the asset to recover toward $74.

Solana continues to trade within a short-term descending channel. Its lower and upper boundaries act as dynamic support and resistance levels, meaning a breakout from this structure will determine the next direction of price movement.

A breakout and sustained move above $75 would open the way to $80. A decline below $70, by contrast, would increase the probability of a continued correction toward $63.

CLARITY Act could become the next major crypto catalyst

Solana could remain in an accumulation phase at least until the end of 2026. Strong network activity and continued development across the AI and stablecoin segments support the fundamental outlook, although a stronger external catalyst will likely be needed to trigger a sustained recovery.

In the previous cycle, spot cryptocurrency ETFs largely played that role by expanding institutional access to digital assets. In the current cycle, the CLARITY Act could become a similar catalyst by creating a clearer regulatory framework for the cryptocurrency market and defining the respective responsibilities of the SEC and CFTC.
