Solana remains below key resistance despite strong RWA adoption
Solana is recording the strongest growth in the tokenized gold segment, outperforming other major blockchains. However, the expansion of this market has yet to support SOL’s price, which remains below the 50-day SMA within a short-term descending channel.
Solana is strengthening its position in the tokenized real-world asset market and emerging as one of the fastest-growing blockchains in the digital gold segment. According to research by Birdeye Research, the network recorded the highest average quarterly growth rate in tokenized gold market capitalization at 213.2%. Ethereum, however, still controls approximately 96% of the total supply in this asset class.
Growth is being supported by a broader range of available instruments and improving liquidity. In 2026, cumulative on-chain trading volume for tokenized gold on Solana reached $389.63 million, while the launch of PAXG through Sunrise infrastructure strengthened the network’s competition with Ethereum in this segment.
However, strong fundamental growth has yet to translate into sustained price leadership. SOL remains technically weaker than BTC and ETH during the current upward move and continues to trade below key dynamic resistance.

Holding below $75.50 keeps $70 in focus
SOL is trading near $74 and continues to move within a short-term descending channel below the 50-day moving average, as noted previously. The $75.50 area remains the key resistance zone, as it coincides with both the upper boundary of the channel and the 50-day SMA. If buyers fail to overcome this area over the coming days, the probability of a decline and another test of support near $70 will increase significantly.
A decisive breakout and sustained hold above $75.50, by contrast, would create an opportunity for a recovery toward the $78–80 range.

Solana’s relative weakness raises downside risk
Despite strong growth across several fundamental areas, including tokenized gold and other RWAs, SOL has yet to demonstrate comparable price strength. The asset remains sensitive to broader cryptocurrency market conditions and depends on BTC and ETH maintaining their upward momentum. If the rally in the largest cryptocurrencies comes to an end, Solana’s relative weakness could result in a more pronounced decline. The $70 level would become particularly important under this scenario, as another test would confirm that selling pressure remains intact.
