Cardano weakens as Bitcoin dominance keeps pressure on altcoins
Cardano is significantly underperforming Bitcoin and Ethereum even as the two largest cryptocurrencies retain most of their recent gains. ADA’s weakness highlights how unevenly capital is currently being distributed across the crypto market.
Cardano continues to show relative weakness. Bitcoin dominance has climbed above 60%, pointing to a concentration of capital primarily in BTC, while ETH is also holding up better than most altcoins. As a result, even the absence of a full-scale correction in Bitcoin and Ethereum has not protected ADA from more aggressive profit-taking.

ADA tests key support after losing $0.221
The base-case scenario from the previous analysis fully played out. After breaking below $0.221, ADA extended its decline and tested key support around $0.203.
This level will be critical for the short-term outlook over the coming days. A decisive break below $0.203 would increase selling pressure and open the way toward the next target near $0.191.
The alternative scenario would require ADA to hold above $0.203 and establish itself there for several trading sessions. If buyers can build a stable base around this level, the price could begin to recover toward $0.221.
Altcoin cycles are becoming more selective
The structure of the crypto market is gradually changing. In earlier bull cycles, Bitcoin rallies often developed into broad altseasons, with much of the market rising sharply at the same time. Capital now appears far more selective, with ETF flows, institutional demand and deep liquidity concentrated primarily in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
This suggests that future altcoin rallies may look different. Instead of a synchronized surge across the entire market, individual projects with strong catalysts, liquidity or real-world usage may deliver sharp gains, while the broader altcoin market produces much more modest returns. ADA’s current weakness alongside relatively resilient BTC and ETH already illustrates this shift.
