Ethereum institutional demand strengthens but ETH remains capped below $2,550
Ethereum stays range-bound as institutional accumulation strengthens.

Ethereum continues to trade within the $2,370–2,550 range. Strong institutional demand through corporate accumulation and spot ETFs is supporting ETH, although stretched technical conditions continue to limit the upside.

BitMine acquired another 53,501 ETH between August 24 and August 28, increasing its total holdings to 5,901,112 ETH, or roughly 4.9% of Ethereum’s circulating supply. The company also continues to stake aggressively, with more than 5.06 million ETH already committed to staking.

Institutional demand also remains strong through ETFs. According to SoSoValue, spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $87.68 million in net inflows on August 31, extending their positive streak to 11 consecutive trading sessions.

ETH remains trapped between $2,370 and $2,550

The technical picture has changed little since the previous analysis. ETH continues to consolidate within the $2,370–2,550 range while showing signs of short-term overheating.

The RSI (14) has already moved out of overbought territory but remains close to it after the strong August rally. This continues to limit the potential for an immediate extension higher.

A decisive break and sustained move below $2,370 would materially weaken the short-term structure and open the way toward the next important support around $2,200.

For buyers to regain full control, ETH needs to establish itself firmly above $2,550. In that case, the $2,600–2,700 area would return to focus.

Institutional support contrasts with growing speculative pressure

The crypto market is currently in a transitional phase. Institutional inflows remain strong, while speculative leverage is increasing and retail participation is declining.

For ETH, this means strong institutional demand does not necessarily guarantee an immediate continuation higher. ETF inflows and BitMine’s accumulation are supporting the price, but stretched technical conditions and signs of increasingly speculative behavior across the broader market continue to leave the lower end of the range at risk.
