NYSE evaluates Avalanche for its tokenized trading platform: Can AVAX break 200-day SMA?
Avalanche has unexpectedly moved closer to one of the most ambitious projects in traditional finance. The technology is still only being evaluated, but the potential scale of the use case has already put AVAX under a different kind of spotlight.
NYSE is developing a separate Alternative Trading System for round-the-clock trading in tokenized stocks with on-chain settlement. ICE previously said the platform is expected to support 24/7 trading, instant settlement and stablecoin-based funding.
According to PANews, citing Avalanche’s official account, ICE Vice President for Strategic Initiatives Michael Blaugrund said Avalanche meets many of the requirements the company is looking for as it evaluates different platforms, adding that the teams remain in close contact. No agreement between ICE/NYSE and Avalanche has been announced, however.

200 SMA become the next resistance zone
AVAX’s move back above the previously highlighted $7.60 level invalidated the earlier bearish setup.
Over the next several days, the main resistance area sits between the 200-day SMA near $7.98 and horizontal resistance around $8.18.
If buyers manage to clear that zone, momentum could accelerate toward $9.71.
A drop and sustained move below $7.10 would invalidate the bullish setup. In that case, the risk of a correction toward $6.70 would increase significantly.
NYSE potential is significant but remains speculative
If NYSE ultimately selects Avalanche as one of the core networks for its on-chain infrastructure, the scale of such a use case could materially change how the market values AVAX and potentially support a much larger repricing.
For now, though, treating gains of several hundred percent as a base-case outcome would be premature. Blaugrund has only confirmed that Avalanche meets several of ICE’s requirements and that the two sides are in discussions. No network selection, formal partnership or NYSE deployment on Avalanche has been confirmed.
