TRON expands developer payments infrastructure through Privy integration
As stablecoin use on blockchain networks broadens, TRON is widening the tools available to developers building financial applications on its network. The move adds wallet, transaction signing, transfer and monitoring functions through Privy, targeting payment, treasury and other on-chain business use cases.
Highlights
- Privy expanded its infrastructure support for TRON, enabling developers to build, manage, and scale wallets and financial apps with advanced controls and APIs.
- TRON's total stablecoin transfer volume approaches $30 trillion, reflecting rapid adoption for payment and treasury operations with companies like Onafriq and Paystack involved.
- Privy and TRON's integration targets demand for cross-border stablecoin infrastructure, especially leveraging USDT, to facilitate large-scale on-chain payments and financial workflows.
Expanded tools for TRON builders
As reported by The Block, citing TRON DAO, Privy is expanding its support for the TRON blockchain, adding infrastructure aimed at helping developers and businesses build financial applications at scale on the network.Under the expanded integration, developers can build and manage wallets and other financial products on TRON with tools for constructing, signing and broadcasting supported transactions. The offering also includes balance and transaction webhooks for monitoring wallet activity and on-chain events, policy controls for spending limits, recipient allowlists and transaction approval or restriction rules, and transfer APIs for moving supported assets programmatically.
TRON founder Justin Sun said the deeper integration is intended to make it easier for developers to build on the network's stablecoin activity. He said the added infrastructure is designed to support payments, treasury functions and other financial products moving on-chain.
Stablecoin and treasury use cases grow
TRON says its network is becoming a major global rail for stablecoin transfers, with total transfer volume approaching $30 trillion. The blockchain's infrastructure is increasingly being used for payments and treasury operations, with companies including Onafriq and Paystack already building wallet and treasury use cases with Privy and TRON.Privy CEO and co-founder Henri Stern said more companies are using TRON to move stablecoins across borders and build new financial products, especially in markets where U.S. dollar-pegged USDT already plays a significant role in money movement. He said the expanded support is meant to give those teams infrastructure to build and operate at scale.
The broader push reflects demand for stablecoin infrastructure that can support real-world financial operations. By combining Privy's wallet and developer tools with TRON's stablecoin ecosystem, the companies say businesses can build applications for payments, treasury management and other on-chain financial workflows.
