TRON DAO spotlights tokenized assets strategy at Korea Blockchain Week
TRON DAO eyes tokenization

Tokenization of real-world assets is taking a larger role in crypto industry discussions as firms look to widen access to financial products across borders. At Korea Blockchain Week 2026 in Seoul, TRON DAO moderated a panel with participants from Tether, PancakeSwap and the Jito Foundation focused on how that expansion could build on demand for tokenized dollars.

Highlights

  • TRON DAO moderated a panel at Korea Blockchain Week 2026 (Sept. 30–Oct. 1) focused on real-world asset (RWA) tokenization and cross-border financial access.
  • TRON now processes the majority of global USDT volume, reflecting surging demand for stablecoins as tokenized dollars and highlighting barriers in geographical financial access.
  • TRON DAO emphasized stablecoins as the base for future tokenized finance, targeting broader asset offerings and expanded market access beyond tokenized dollars.

Seoul panel focuses on cross-border access

As reported by The Block, TRON DAO moderated a discussion at Korea Blockchain Week 2026 on the growth of real-world assets, or RWAs, during the Sept. 30 to Oct. 1 event hosted by FACTBLOCK in Seoul. The panel, held on the BitGo Stage under the title "More Assets, More Geos: How RWAs Are Eating the World," was led by TRON DAO Research Manager Sam Reynolds and included Francesco Fabracci, head of tokenization expansion at Tether, Chef Kids, CEO of PancakeSwap, and Brian Smith, president of the Jito Foundation.

Reynolds said tokenization could help reduce investment barriers tied to geography, arguing that where people live still shapes what they can access financially. He also said stablecoins have already shown demand for tokenized dollars, adding that global demand for dollar access has made TRON the home of most global USDT volume.

Stablecoins seen as base for broader asset growth

The discussion brings together views from stablecoin issuance, decentralized finance and blockchain infrastructure as the sector examines how tokenized assets can expand across asset classes and markets. A central issue remains whether the industry can make those assets easy to access, trade and use across borders while also building the liquidity and investor confidence needed for longer-term adoption.

For TRON DAO, stablecoins are positioned as a starting point for broader tokenized finance rather than the end market. The organization said the next stage is to build on familiarity with tokenized dollars and widen access to other financial assets, with its presence at Korea Blockchain Week intended to reinforce that industry focus.

DTCC’s SIFMA Ops 2026 priorities for market infrastructure highlighted how tokenization and digital assets are expected to connect with existing standards while improving settlement and expanding market access. Our earlier coverage noted DTCC CEO Frank La Salla’s emphasis that faster, broader participation must be matched with resilient systems, strong safeguards, and operational efficiency as trading models evolve.
