ESMA MiCA register adds BingX, YouHodler as EU crypto provider count rises
EU expands crypto register

The European Union’s crypto regulatory register is expanding further as more firms secure authorization under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation. A latest update from the bloc’s securities watchdog adds nine crypto-asset service providers, taking the total number of unique listed providers to 375.

Highlights

  • BingX’s Austrian entity MEGE zweite and the Italian subsidiary of YouHodler have been added to ESMA’s MiCA register, increasing regulated EU crypto providers.
  • YouHodler’s authorization covers custody, exchange, order execution, and transfer services, while BingX plans expansion across the European Economic Area under regulatory clarity.
  • ESMA’s register now lists 178 non-compliant crypto service providers after five new additions, while the e-money token and asset-referenced token registers remain unchanged.

Latest MiCA register additions

As reported by Cointelegraph, citing the European Securities and Markets Authority, Friday’s update to the MiCA register includes BingX’s Austrian entity, MEGE zweite, and the Italian subsidiary of YouHodler, a crypto lending platform that offers yield products.

YouHodler’s listing covers authorization for custody, crypto exchanges, order execution and transfers. Both BingX and YouHodler announce their authorizations last week. BingX EU CEO Daniel Lai says the approval allows the company to operate under a clear regulatory framework as it prepares to launch regulated services across the European Economic Area.

Other additions include Spain’s Prakma Markets, associated with the Goin crypto app, which operates a savings and investment platform. In Germany, the new entries include Openbank Deutschland, a subsidiary of Spanish banking group Banco Santander, alongside cooperative lenders VR-Bank Alb-Blau-Donau and VR Bank im südlichen Franken.

Broader compliance and market implications

Denmark’s Penning Financial Services is no longer listed, despite appearing in register updates dating back to July 3.

The e-money token register is unchanged at 50 entries representing 25 unique entities, while the asset-referenced token register remains empty. The register of non-compliant crypto-asset service providers increases by five entries to 178, highlighting that EU oversight of the crypto sector is widening alongside new approvals.

Our earlier article on Menara Asia’s Menarabena platform described how the company is digitising Malaysia’s construction supply chain by connecting contractors with building-material suppliers while centralising certification, technical documentation, and compliance data. It also highlighted the role of CIDB-linked cooperation in speeding up approvals and product certification, underscoring how formal registration and documentation requirements are becoming a key gateway for market participation.
