- U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs posted $526.6 million in net inflows Monday despite outflows from Fidelity and Grayscale, with IBIT reaching $66.37 billion in net assets.

Fund flow surge highlights institutional positioning
As reported by The Block, citing SoSoValue, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, IBIT, records $665.16 million in net inflows on Monday, the fund's biggest daily intake since Oct. 7, 2025. That push helps U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs post $526.6 million in net inflows for the day, even as outflows from Fidelity and Grayscale products partly offset BlackRock's gains.Bitcoin remains stuck in an $82,000 to $83,000 consolidation band as investors weigh the risk that further interest-rate hikes could pressure broader risk assets. IBIT, launched in January 2024 by BlackRock, is the largest spot bitcoin ETF with $66.37 billion in net assets.
Dominick John, analyst at Zeus Research, says BlackRock's inflows point to resilient institutional demand despite macro headwinds and uneven price action in bitcoin. He adds that continued resistance suggests ETF buying is being absorbed by selling pressure while rate-hike fears continue to limit risk appetite.
Rate uncertainty shapes broader crypto ETF outlook
Min Jung, associate researcher at Presto Research, says investors may be positioning for a potential catch-up trade in bitcoin because current price levels appear relatively attractive. Jung also says volatility is likely to persist as uncertainty around the Federal Reserve's rate decision continues to weigh on broader market sentiment.A sustained move above bitcoin's current trading range would require clearer macroeconomic conditions and stronger appetite for risk, according to Jung. The Block's crypto Fear & Greed Index stands at 59, in the greed zone, while spot ether ETFs record another day of net outflows, losing $103.3 million on Monday for a fourth straight session of withdrawals.
BlackRock also files for another bitcoin fund on Monday, proposing the iShares Bitcoin Managed Protect ETF. The product is designed to offer investors downside protection alongside upside exposure tied to the firm's flagship bitcoin ETF.
Our earlier article on UBS Global Wealth Management’s outlook highlighted how persistent inflation is pushing expectations for a longer Federal Reserve tightening cycle, including projected additional hikes into 2027. We noted that markets were increasingly pricing in “higher-for-longer” rates, reinforcing the risk that tighter financial conditions could weigh on risk assets and investor positioning.
