Funding round and token sale plan
As first reported by The Block, Dataline says it has raised $10.6 million in seed funding and is preparing a public token sale through Uniswap's Continuous Clearing Auction system on Base. Lattice and Samsung-backed Dispersion Capital co-led the round, while Symbolic Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Anagram and Robinhood co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev also participated.Dataline co-founder Nuo Shi says the round closed in April and was structured as a SAFE with a token warrant. She declines to disclose the valuation and says none of the investors received a board seat, observer role or advisory position.
The company plans to launch its token by the end of the year, with the asset set to be used for payments and access across the network. Users will also be able to lock tokens for continued access to data feeds instead of paying a regular subscription, while Dataline has not disclosed the size or terms of the planned sale.
Network model and crypto market impact
Dataline operates a decentralized data network that supplies both on-chain and off-chain data for AI agents, allowing developers to connect through a single platform. The company also uses AI to score data for reliability, recency and consistency, aiming to help agents decide whether information can be trusted before it is used. Its first "AI Data Launch" group includes Hyperliquid, Polymarket, Kalshi, Base, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, Sui and TON. Developers building on Base and Robinhood Chain will receive free access to Dataline, according to the company.
Once the token goes live, data providers will need to stake tokens when submitting data. Shi says accepted data will earn payment and return the staked tokens, while rejected data can trigger an AI review followed by a network vote if needed, with failed submissions losing their stake to reward another provider.
Dataline says it plans to generate revenue by taking a cut of data payments, although it is not yet charging fees. Its foundation also plans to earn money by supplying its own data, as the company builds operations across teams mainly based in Europe and North America.
Chariot Claims’ $10 million Series A funding round highlighted how legal-tech startups are scaling AI-assisted workflows to process high volumes of consumer claims tied to privacy, hidden fees, and hard-to-cancel subscriptions. Our earlier article noted that the company uses a mix of software and human oversight to screen hundreds of thousands of monthly submissions and is investing the new capital into hiring and product development to expand automated case review.
