Dune launches onchain market data feeds as tokenized trading expands
Rising demand for tokenized assets and onchain execution is pushing crypto infrastructure providers to broaden the tools available to institutional traders. Dune said its new real-time data feeds cover more than 200 onchain venues across 12 networks, with spot trade data delivered about one second after execution.
Highlights
- Dune launched real-time onchain market data feeds for Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, X Layer, Hyperliquid and Lighter, targeting institutional workflows.
- Dune cited onchain trading accounting for 25% of all spot crypto volume as rationale for moving into real-time data solutions for hedge funds and brokers.
- The SEC's recent five-year exemption for tokenized US-listed stock venues and OKXICE's filing to list 63 tokenized stocks on X Layer drive commercial opportunity for Dune's new offering.
Real-time feed rollout targets institutional trading
According to The Block, the company said in a statement released Thursday that the new feeds are designed to bring onchain trade data into the same workflows used for traditional listed markets. The rollout includes spot feeds for venues across Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain and X Layer, while perpetuals feeds track trades on Hyperliquid and Lighter.Dune said the product adds rich reference data alongside pricing information, aiming to help hedge funds, asset managers, market makers and brokers monitor where instruments trade and at what prices. Fredrik Haga, Dune's co-founder and chief executive, said onchain trading now accounts for about 25% of all spot crypto trading volume, supporting the company's move into real-time feeds.
Regulatory shift supports tokenized market growth
Dune linked the launch to a broader push toward tokenized securities and expanding onchain market structure. The company said the Securities and Exchange Commission last month issued a five-year exemption allowing certain venues to trade tokenized versions of U.S.-listed stocks without registering as exchanges.Earlier this month, OKXICE, the joint venture between OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, notified the SEC of plans to launch a tokenized securities trading venue under that innovation exemption. Dune added that OKXICE has since filed to list 63 tokenized stocks on X Layer, underscoring the commercial opportunity the company is targeting with its new feeds.
