Consumer rollout and product scope
As reported by The Block, Blockchain.com is adding TRX options to its consumer app through the Blockchain.com Trading Account in eligible jurisdictions, extending access to the native utility token of the TRON network.TRON DAO says the move simplifies access to the broader TRON ecosystem on one of the crypto sector's established global platforms for retail and institutional users. Justin Sun, founder of TRON, says the launch gives users another way to gain exposure to the ecosystem through a familiar platform, while Blockchain.com highlights TRX as a natural addition to its expanding options lineup.
Taro Ugen, vice president of consumer at Blockchain.com, says the company is aiming to make digital asset products easier to access and navigate within the app's existing user experience. He points to the scale of the TRON network, its global user base and its role in supporting activity on the blockchain as key reasons for the addition.
Institutional momentum around TRON
TRON says the listing comes as the network continues to build both retail visibility and institutional infrastructure. The network reports more than 411 million total user accounts, 15 billion transactions and cumulative transfer volume of more than $30 trillion, alongside more than $94 billion in circulating USDT issued on TRON.The launch also follows a series of institutional milestones cited by TRON this year, including the debut of the Canary Staked TRX ETF, described as the first U.S. staked TRX ETF, native TRX staking and TRC-20 asset custody through Anchorage Digital, Hamilton Lane's tokenized Senior Credit Opportunities Fund on TRON through Securitize, and TRX's inclusion in the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index. Together, those steps expand the range of products and market infrastructure tied to the TRON ecosystem.
Our earlier article on India’s disinvestment programme explained that most proceeds since FY2016 have come from market-linked routes such as ETFs, public issues and buybacks, while strategic sales have contributed relatively little. It also highlighted how the proposed IDBI Bank stake sale could materially lift this year’s collections and potentially help the government exceed its budgeted disinvestment estimate.
