Treasury funding proposal for stablecoins and DeFi faces governance approval

Major Cardano organizations, including Input Output Global and the Cardano Foundation, have jointly submitted a proposal to access 70 million ADA from the network’s Treasury to fund infrastructure upgrades aimed at ecosystem growth and DeFi enhancements. These upgrades target the introduction of native stablecoins, institutional custody improvements, cross-chain bridges, and advanced analytics. The proposal awaits approval from Cardano's Delegated Representatives and the Constitutional Committee, following Cardano’s on-chain governance process. Recently, the network also resolved a temporary chain disruption and is progressing with the upcoming Ouroboros Leios scalability upgrade.

Bearish momentum persists as indicators and averages reinforce downtrend

Technically, ADA maintains a bearish posture as it remains decisively under all major moving averages, with immediate support at the Ichimoku Kijun ($0.500) and resistance at the MA-20. Bearish momentum remains robust — both MACD and ADX point to a 'Strong Sell,' RSI approaches oversold levels at 31.8, CCI is negative, and Stoch RSI signals continued downside. The Bull/Bear Power (BBP) confirms seller dominance, though the Awesome Oscillator currently stays neutral. The price trades near the intraday low with steady downward momentum and moderate volatility, while all core momentum indicators align with the present downtrend.

Limited recovery odds as technicals favor further downside or consolidation

Over the next five trading days, ADA is expected to fluctuate between $0.400 and $0.425, reflecting a typical volatility band relative to current levels. The odds of a recovery are low, with less than a 20% probability of an upward push; a sideways consolidation within this band is the base scenario. If resistance at $0.425 is overcome, a bullish move is possible, but a break below $0.400 would reinforce the negative trend and allow for deeper declines, as supported by daily and weekly technical indicators.
Viktoras Karapetjanc, senior analyst at Traders Union, notes that Cardano continues to trade deep in bearish territory, but fundamental factors merit a closer look. He sees the recent Treasury proposal by Cardano’s core organizations as a sign of institutional commitment and ecosystem maturity. Macro sentiment may remain weak in the short term due to technical pressures, yet upside potential grows as key infrastructure upgrades take shape. 'Despite prevailing bearish signals, I believe Cardano’s strategic development efforts and strong governance could lay the groundwork for a constructive rebound once sentiment shifts,' says Karapetjanc.
Last time, it was noted that ADA continues to operate inside a clean sequence of lower highs, persistent distribution in spot flows, and a trend that has not allowed a decisive recovery since August. The report emphasized that sellers still in control and any bounce from support levels remains corrective within a firmly bearish structure.
