Downside momentum intensifies as oversold signals persist below resistance

The pair trades below the MA-20 and MA-50, highlighting short- and medium-term resistance, but remains above the MA-200, which continues to provide long-term support. The nearest resistance is identified at the Ichimoku Kijun, set at ฿33.1635. Momentum remains negative, as MACD and ADX both indicate continued downside pressure. RSI is significantly oversold at 23.94, with CCI and Stochastic RSI also reflecting oversold conditions. Bull/Bear Power indicates persistent seller dominance, and the Awesome Oscillator corroborates this trend. Price closed near the session low with subdued volatility, and no divergence is present across the major momentum indicators.

Range-bound outlook prevails as breakout risks remain subdued

In the near term (2–3 trading days), USD/THB is expected to fluctuate between ฿32.8273 and ฿33.1573, staying within a typical volatility band relative to current levels. There is a 22% probability of an upward move, with a 78% likelihood of the pair drifting lower towards support. The most likely scenario is continued range-bound trading unless a decisive breakout above the Kijun or a breakdown through the forecasted support level occurs.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, notes the technical setup for USD/THB remains weak. He sees downside pressure dominating as the pair stays below short- and medium-term resistance while technical indicators show persistent negative momentum. Caution is warranted, as sellers retain control and no visible catalyst for a reversal is present. "Until USD/THB decisively reclaims ฿33.1635, my bias remains defensive and any upside is suspect."

Earlier, analysts noted that USD/THB was likely to consolidate within a sideways range as breakout risks built on both sides. The current analysis strengthens this view with increasingly bearish technical signals, suggesting traders should closely monitor for any breakdown below the key support level, which could signal a new phase of downside momentum.
