Highlights

  • QUBT trades below key moving averages, reflecting bearish momentum across short, medium, and long-term trends.
  • Strong sell signals from MACD and ADX indicate further downside is likely, with only short-term intraday buying pressure emerging.
  • Expected trading range for the next 2–3 days is $7.31–$8.29, with a very high probability of continued decline.

Multiple bearish signals as resistance caps rebound attempts

On the technical front, QUBT is trading below the MA-20 ($7.85) and MA-50 ($8.29) on the 1-hour chart, and remains under the long-term MA-200 ($10.96). The Ichimoku Kijun at $7.95 serves as an immediate resistance point, capping current rebound attempts. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) and Average Directional Index (ADX) are issuing strong Sell signals, indicative of dominant bearish momentum. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) reads 42.26 and also points to lingering downside. Meanwhile, both the Stochastic RSI and Commodity Channel Index (CCI) are Neutral, suggesting no clear oversold or overbought extremes, and the Awesome Oscillator is Neutral as well. Bull/Bear Power (BBP) issues an intraday Buy reading, highlighting some buyer strength, but there remains a clear divergence between this and the overall bearish momentum setup.

Sideways action likely as downside risk dominates short-term outlook

Looking ahead, QUBT is expected to remain within a range of $7.31–$8.29 over the next 2–3 trading days, reflecting typical volatility for the period. The probability of a move higher is assessed as very low, with less than a 20% chance, while further downside is much more likely, at over 80% probability. The baseline scenario calls for sideways consolidation within this band, with a bullish scenario requiring a break above the Ichimoku Kijun resistance, and a bearish scenario involving a decline below $7.31.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, sees ongoing bearish pressure on Quantum Computing (QUBT) stock, with price action capped by key technical resistances. He notes that all major momentum signals remain negative and there is a strong probability of further downside unless $7.95 is broken. Short-term rangebound movement between $7.31 and $8.29 is his base case. "Until the price reclaims the Ichimoku Kijun at $7.95, there is no technical justification for a bullish stance here," Kharitonov says.

Earlier, analysts noted that Quantum Computing Inc. was contending with sustained bearish momentum despite its expansion efforts and recent acquisitions. With the current technical landscape still firmly bearish and a clear downside bias, traders should watch for any break below $7.31 as a potential signal for further weakness in the near term.
