IMF PPP trims Spain-Poland per capita gap

Poland has been performing well economically, but recent figures raise questions about the methodology used to assess its standing. Wojtek Kopczuk points out that a new IMF purchasing power parity (PPP) calculation has erased one third of Spain's nominal per capita advantage over Poland, trimming the gap from $40,000 to $30,000 based on the same IMF data.
