But we saved everything 🙂.
OPEC+ core members are holding their scheduled monthly virtual meeting today. According to Javier Blas, with the Strait of Hormuz closed and alternative pipeline routes already operating at maximum capacity, any decision to increase oil output would be largely symbolic rather than substantive. Despite these constraints, Blas indicates the group is likely to move forward with an output hike.
Blas previously reported that Iran has continued to load oil tankers from Kharg Island and export shipments even during wartime without major disruption. He also noted the limited effect of the current energy shock on U.S. natural gas prices, which remain relatively stable for industries and inflation in the domestic market. These developments add context to today's OPEC+ output discussions.
