DeFi relief effort raises over $300 million

Jason Choi, industry influencer, commented on the recent wave of DeFi exploits in April, stating that although these incidents have challenged the sector, strong community support remains evident. Choi highlighted that the DeFi United relief initiative by Aave has already raised over $300 million from more than 116,000 wallets.

Earlier this year, Jacquelyn Melinek reported that several crypto projects faced exploits putting more than $70 million in assets at risk. Separately, Figure has been processing about $1 billion in tokenized mortgages monthly as it expands its onchain public equity network. The recent relief efforts in DeFi come as the industry continues to respond to these incidents.
