Quantum risk to crypto grows sooner

Scott Melker, owner and content creator, notes that quantum computing is no longer a concern limited to 2040.

He points to recent research from Google, the Ethereum Foundation, and Stanford, which finds that the compute required to break crypto encryption could be 20 times lower than previously believed.

Melker previously reported that BTQ QSSN will serve as the security infrastructure for South Korea's first bank-led KRW stablecoin test. In another update, he noted that Strategy held 818,334 BTC and raised $11.6 billion in Q1 2026. His latest remarks continue a focus on security and large-scale developments in the digital asset sector.
