U.S. blocks AI chips to Chinese subsidiaries

Shay Boloor reports that U.S. President Donald Trump is moving to block advanced NVDA and AMD AI chip shipments to Chinese subsidiaries operating outside China.

This new guidance is intended to close a significant export-control loophole and signals that the U.S. is tightening oversight of indirect access to AI compute.

Boloor has tracked other technology sector shifts in recent weeks. He previously highlighted IREN’s share price move above $65 after the company raised ARR guidance and announced a $1.6 billion deal with DELL for AI systems in Texas. Boloor also reported that HIMS expanded its wellness offerings by adding partners and introducing AI coaching and reproductive health tracking tools.
