Tracy Shuchart, independent trader and strategist, reports that Asian refiners, including those in South Korea and Japan, have recently purchased at least 6 million barrels of U.S. crude oil for loading in July. According to traders familiar with the deals, the cargoes are scheduled to arrive in September.
Shuchart has recently tracked moves in several energy and equity markets. In May, she noted that India’s fuel exports fell to a nearly four-year low as the country prioritized domestic demand and underwent refinery maintenance. She also reported that AI stocks drove the S&P 500 to 11 record closes during the same month. Her posts highlight market activity across both commodities and equities.
