LeverageShares SpaceX ETF sets debut record

Eric Balchunas, senior ETF analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence, reports that the LeverageShares 2x SpaceX ETF, ticker SPCH, reached $4 billion in trading volume during its debut week.

This marks the largest first week of trading volume ever for an exchange-traded fund, surpassing the initial trading volumes of IBIT, DRAM, BITO, and others. Notably, the SPCH ETF achieved this milestone in just four trading days due to a holiday closure on Friday.

Balchunas has previously commented on notable ETF milestones, including when VOO became the first ETF to surpass $1 trillion in assets. He has also weighed in on digital asset markets, comparing a Bitcoin selloff to the market reaction during the taper tantrum. The analyst’s recent observations add to his coverage of record-setting market events.
