Yields up on hawkish FOMC, key data ahead

Sonali Basak reports that yields are rising following a hawkish tone from the FOMC during Kevin Warsh’s first meeting. The two-year yield is about 85 basis points higher than the lows reached earlier this year.

Basak highlights that markets are now watching for important Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) inflation data—considered the Federal Reserve’s preferred measure—as well as upcoming GDP figures.

Basak has previously considered key factors for SpaceX in the first year following its IPO listing. In another report, she highlighted comments from Rob Sechan of New Edge comparing the impact of AI in U.S. wealth management to the Manhattan Project. These reports reflect Basak’s focus on major market events and industry shifts.
