Stephan Livera: Ocean mining pool and CTO issue conflicting statements on BIP110 chain split
BIP110 sparks Ocean mining disagreement

Stephan Livera, head of education and podcast host at Swan Bitcoin, points to conflicting statements from Ocean mining pool and its CTO and chairman, Luke Dashjr, regarding support for chain splits related to BIP110.

Livera notes that while Ocean mining pool plans to support chain splits, Luke Dashjr maintains that BIP110 does not cause a chain split.

Livera has previously tracked developments in Bitcoin infrastructure. He recently launched a Bitcoin Node Cost Tracker as industry discussion over network spam intensified. Earlier, he observed ongoing growth in Bitcoin lightning network volumes despite a 50% drop from peak usage.
