Ethereum nears $2,000 as institutional demand grows
Ethereum continues to show relative strength despite subdued conditions across the broader cryptocurrency market. Steady ETF inflows and continued accumulation by large holders are supporting demand, bringing ETH closer to the key $2,000 level.
Institutional demand for Ethereum remains strong. On July 15, spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $53.8 million in net inflows, while on-chain data continues to point to accumulation by large market participants.
According to Arkham, BitMine purchased an additional 6,000 ETH (approximately $11.2 million). At the same time, three large wallets withdrew another 30,000 ETH (around $57.7 million) from Coinbase Prime, suggesting that major holders remain unwilling to sell.
As expectations for further Federal Reserve tightening continue to ease, interest in digital assets is gradually recovering. Consistent ETF inflows remain one of Ethereum's strongest fundamental catalysts, supporting demand despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainty.

Ethereum eyes $2,000 despite slowing momentum
ETH continues to advance toward the psychological $2,000 resistance level. However, as the broader crypto market remains relatively subdued, the pace of the rally has begun to slow.
Selling pressure typically increases near round-number price levels, limiting further upside. Even so, a test of the $2,000 level remains the most likely scenario over the coming days.
At the same time, the technical picture is beginning to signal the risk of a short-term pullback. RSI (14) is approaching overbought territory, and the formation of bearish candlestick patterns near $2,000 could trigger a period of profit-taking.
Ethereum outperforms the broader crypto market
Over the past several days, Ethereum has outperformed most major cryptocurrencies. Strong institutional demand and continued accumulation by large investors have allowed ETH to maintain relative strength even as the broader crypto market remains sluggish.
