China Q2 growth falls to 4.3 percent

Mohamed A. El-Erian, president at Queens' College, University of Cambridge, highlights that China’s economic growth slowed to 4.3 percent in the second quarter, down from 5 percent in the first quarter.

He points out that this pace is the lowest in decades apart from the Covid period. Growth for the first half of the year stands at 4.7 percent, coming in below consensus forecasts.
