Dan Held: BlackRock, Fidelity, Coinbase and Strategy back Bitcoin security consortium
Institutions form Bitcoin security consortium

Dan Held, bitcoin educator, reports that nine institutions, including BlackRock, Fidelity, Coinbase, and Strategy, have announced the formation of the Bitcoin Security Consortium.

These organizations are collectively pledging $15 million toward Bitcoin security work over the next three years.

Held has previously highlighted concerns around protocol development and governance, raising issues with BIP-110's potential to expose Bitcoin to centralized control. He has also drawn attention to repeated bearish predictions such as Peter Schiff's claims that Bitcoin would fall to zero. His recent reporting continues a focus on resilience and security within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
