He calculates that even if the recent acceleration in growth continues, the rate will still be 51 percentage points below the threshold.

Thorn has previously commented on technical developments in the Bitcoin ecosystem. He noted that OP_RETURN usage remained under 0.1% of Bitcoin blockspace following the Bitcoin Core v30 update.
