Brad Garlinghouse: TradFi firms join inaugural CFTC crypto innovation advisory committee
CFTC hosts crypto meeting with TradFi firms

Brad Garlinghouse, chief executive officer at Ripple Labs, attended the inaugural meeting of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Innovation Advisory Committee, which he described as an “Olympic roster of crypto.”

Garlinghouse noted the presence of numerous traditional finance firms alongside crypto industry participants, including representatives from NASDAQ, CME Group, and CBOE.

Garlinghouse recently joined U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, where he noted that 67 million Americans now hold crypto. The meeting highlighted the growing intersection between crypto executives and policymakers. Industry participation at high-level government events continues to expand.
