Current M2 expansion is minimal relative to past decades, George Gammon notes
M2 expansion lags historic growth pace

George Gammon, host and investor at Rebel Capitalist, observes that despite widespread discussion about M2 "exploding" recently, the actual growth rate of M2 is relatively low compared to recent decades.

Gammon argues that anything which compounds, such as the money supply or gold supply, will eventually exhibit exponential growth, but current M2 figures do not point to exceptionally high expansion.

Earlier, Gammon emphasized the importance of tracking U.S. debt levels, the deficit-to-GDP ratio, and Federal Reserve assets to assess interest rate trends, as noted in previous commentary. He has also cautioned that a stock market downturn similar to past crashes could result in a recession, according to earlier analysis. These views contribute to his ongoing evaluation of macroeconomic data.
