AI slowdown talk causes market drop

Michael Geike, co-founder & CEO at Advanced Blockchain AG, comments on recent calls from Dario Amodei, Sam Altman, and Elon Musk for an artificial intelligence slowdown, describing them as some of the key proponents now urging caution.

Geike notes that markets reacted sharply to these public appeals, with SoftBank falling 13% and tech futures selling off. Geike argues that an actual slowdown is unlikely given the momentum of open weight AI models.

Geike previously reported when roughly 4,200 BTC, valued at about $320 million, was moved from a Liquid Network federation wallet in a white hat security operation. He has also highlighted Coinbase’s launch of tokenized U.S. stocks on Base, which uses Chainlink for price feeds. These prior updates have focused on significant transactions and new crypto product launches.
