Gokul Rajaram: Consumer commerce faces drop as Booking, Expedia, Airbnb shares fall
Consumer commerce hit by share declines

Gokul Rajaram points to a sharp downturn in consumer commerce, likening it to a 'SaaSpocalypse' now affecting the sector as new players such as Muse, Instinct, and personal agents disrupt the landscape.

According to Rajaram, Booking's share price is down 21% month to date, with Expedia and Airbnb each showing an 18% decline during the same period. He suggests that only a handful of resilient companies will endure this challenging period.

Rajaram recently noted that Marathon MP co-led Wafer's $40 million Series A funding alongside Chemistry and other investors. In a separate update, he highlighted Applied Intuition's $15 billion valuation under CEO Qasar Younis. His recent commentary focuses on significant shifts in both private and public company performance.
