Sei Labs unveils Hermes consensus protocol

Jayendra Jog, co-founder and CEO at Sei Labs, has announced the introduction of Hermes, described as the fastest consensus protocol ever published. Jog explained that Hermes is integral to Sei Giga, a blockchain designed specifically for trading applications.

Sei Labs engineers recently completed the first full test of the Sei Giga architecture, demonstrating advanced throughput and finality on the EVM chain. Earlier, Jayendra Jog observed that Opensea had listed new NFT cards before competitors, while also noting room for user experience improvements in the marketplace. These developments have positioned Sei Labs as an active participant in blockchain technology and trading applications.
