Restoring Liquid BTC peg involves external audit and internal coordination, Samson Mow notes
Liquid BTC peg recovery update

Work to restore peg operations for Liquid BTC is ongoing, with two parallel efforts focused on completing an external security audit and coordinating internally at Blockstream to address a 600 BTC shortfall. Samson Mow, Chief Executive Officer at JAN3, provided this update.

Mow has previously addressed security concerns, stating there is no existing threat from AI or quantum computers to Bitcoin’s core protocols in a recent interview. He has also advised against Bitcoin address reuse in light of comments by an Ethereum researcher, as detailed in an earlier post. These statements reflect his ongoing focus on transparency and best practices within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
