Peter Tuchman: Nasdaq posts worst week since April 2025 tariff selloff as S&P 500 loses $1.3 trillion
Nasdaq faces worst week since 2025

The Nasdaq experienced its worst weekly performance since the April 2025 tariff selloff, while the S&P 500 saw over $1.3 trillion wiped out in market cap.

Peter Tuchman raised the question of current market conditions and noted that 15% of the S&P 500 are reporting earnings this week.

Earlier this month, Peter Tuchman reported the Dow Jones down 0.01%, the S&P 500 down 0.58%, and the Nasdaq down 1.35% in a Thursday market update (see article). The S&P 500 also saw its largest single-day market cap loss since July 29, falling by over $700 billion according to Tuchman (full story). These recent declines have added to increased scrutiny of index performance.
