Britain should change personal tax thresholds, Stefan Schubert suggests
Britain tax threshold change proposal

Stefan Schubert recommended that Britain lower the personal allowance while increasing the threshold at which the 40 percent tax rate applies.

Schubert made the suggestion in a recent statement.

Schubert has addressed fiscal policy issues in previous commentary. He recently analyzed the gap between bond yields and nominal growth, finding a wider divergence between the U.S. and Europe than reported in recent coverage. In earlier work, he compared Greece and France, noting that Greece’s approach demonstrates how political will can resolve debt challenges according to his analysis.
