Chainalysis hack linked to stablecoins

A hack targeting Chainalysis was carried out simultaneously with another incident in an apparent attempt to prevent the freezing of USDT, USDC, and other stablecoins, though the freezes were ultimately successful.

Caitlin Long, founder and chief executive officer of Custodia Bank, said this development could have significant geopolitical implications, especially given North Korea's denial of involvement.

Long has previously advised banks to plan for Office of the Comptroller of the Currency restrictions on crypto custody rather than expecting full charter withdrawal, as reported in an earlier article. She also joined industry representatives in Dallas to discuss the first loan payment settled with a HazelNetwork tokenized deposit, according to another report. These events reflect her ongoing engagement with crypto custody and tokenized deposits.
