U.S. agency links North Korea to Binance hack

Another U.S. law enforcement agency has identified North Korea as being involved in the Binance hack, even as North Korea denies the accusation.

The information was highlighted by Caitlin Long, who is the founder and chief executive officer of Custodia Bank. Long added that the U.S. is signaling the matter will not simply fade away.

Long previously told banks to anticipate targeted OCC restrictions on crypto custody rather than a full charter withdrawal in recent guidance. She has also participated in industry events focused on blockchain settlement, including a discussion on the first loan payment completed with a HazelNetwork tokenized deposit in Dallas earlier this year. Long’s ongoing commentary reflects her active engagement with digital asset regulatory issues.
