Borrowing outlined in the Budget is nearly £20bn higher than the Office for Budget Responsibility's March forecast, reaching £133bn, and £65bn higher over the next four years, according to Richard Tice.

Tice also accused the Chancellor of misleading Parliament about the borrowing figures and criticized Labour for what he described as bankrupting Britain.

In September, Richard Tice reported that U.K. government borrowing reached £24.5 billion, pushing year-to-date figures to £97.8 billion according to his previous analysis. He has also asserted that £80 million of taxpayer funds were spent in two days on electricity balancing costs under Net Zero policies in an earlier claim. His recent comments continue his scrutiny of government fiscal management.
