INTC approaches key resistance as AI memory ambitions support recovery
Intel approaches $106.50 as recovery momentum builds.

Intel continues to recover after reclaiming the psychological $100 level and is now approaching the next key resistance at $106.50. Fresh comments from management about a potential expansion into new memory architectures add another fundamental factor to the current move.

Barron’s reported that Intel is exploring new opportunities in the memory segment. CEO Lip-Bu Tan said the company is evaluating new memory architectures as the expansion of AI increases both the strategic importance of memory and bandwidth requirements. Among the concepts under consideration is tighter integration between memory and processors, including the possibility of placing memory directly on top of the CPU.

For Intel, such a direction could potentially broaden its role in AI infrastructure beyond CPUs and foundry services.

$106.50 becomes the key level for the next move

As noted previously, a break above $100 was expected to open the way toward $106.50, and that level now becomes the key resistance for today’s trading session.

If buyers can decisively clear $106.50, the next important reference point would be the 50-day SMA near $109.71. Under that scenario, the price target would shift toward $111.50.

If the stock fails to establish itself above $106.50, however, the probability of a pullback would increase. Intel could then return to the $98–100 area, which now acts as strong support.

Holding above $100 keeps the recovery scenario intact

The return above $100 has improved Intel’s short-term structure, while the company’s interest in new memory architectures adds another potential growth avenue as AI infrastructure expands. The market is still only beginning to assess the initiative, however, as Intel has yet to provide a specific commercial roadmap.

For now, price action therefore remains the main confirmation of whether the recovery can continue.
