Intel stays under pressure after UBS cuts its price target
Intel continues to correct after failing to hold above $106.50, while broader weakness in semiconductor stocks is adding pressure to INTC. Against this backdrop, attention is shifting toward support at $91.50.
Pressure on Intel stock intensified after UBS revised its outlook. The bank maintained its Neutral rating but lowered its price target on Intel to $112 from $121. INTC fell roughly 7% during the session, extending the correction after its failed attempt to hold above local resistance.
The lower price target does not signal a sharp deterioration in UBS’s longer-term view, but it does show that after the strong advance, the market is becoming more sensitive to Intel’s valuation and the scope for further recovery.

Holding $91.50 keeps Intel rebound scenario intact
INTC failed to hold above key resistance at $106.50 and fell to $96.69 by the close on August 18. The possibility of such a move was discussed in the previous analysis.
For today’s trading session, the probability of a further decline toward support at $91.50 has increased. If this scenario plays out, Intel stock would extend its losing streak to a fourth consecutive session.
The shape of today’s daily candle will therefore be particularly important. If a doji forms near support, the probability of a subsequent rebound toward $95–98 would increase noticeably.
Holding above $91.50 remains the key condition for this scenario.
Market pressure keeps Intel recovery constrained
INTC’s current decline is unfolding alongside weaker sentiment across the technology sector and rising long-term financing costs. Semiconductor stocks have been particularly sensitive to this shift after posting some of the strongest momentum in the market until recently.
For a short-term rebound, INTC needs to hold $91.50 and form a reversal signal. A more meaningful improvement in the technical structure, however, would require the stock to return above $106.50 and establish itself there.
