Intel stabilizes after decline ahead of Hot Chips
A doji near support strengthens Intel’s rebound setup.

Intel is showing the first signs of stabilization after four consecutive down sessions and continues to hold important support around $91.50. Attention is now gradually shifting toward Hot Chips 2026 and the potential for a short-term technical rebound.

The next major product catalyst for Intel is Hot Chips 2026, which will take place at Stanford from August 23 to August 25. On August 24 alone, the company is scheduled to deliver three presentations covering the Core Series 3 Wildcat Lake platform, the Diamond Rapids server processor and Crescent Island, a GPU designed specifically for agentic AI inference.

Doji near $91.50 supports a rebound toward $98

After four consecutive sessions of declines, Intel stock is showing the first signs of stabilization around the $91.50 support area highlighted earlier.

The August 20 session ended with a doji candle on relatively high volume. Following an extended decline, this pattern near support suggests that selling pressure is beginning to weaken and increases the probability of a short-term reversal.

The base case for the coming sessions is therefore a rebound toward resistance at $98.

A move below the August 20 low of $89.85 would invalidate this scenario.

Hot Chips could provide the next catalyst for Intel

The current reaction around $91.50 looks reasonable after four consecutive down sessions, but any move toward $98 should still be viewed as a short-term recovery for now.

The coming days could give investors several new reasons to reassess Intel’s outlook. Presentations on Wildcat Lake, Diamond Rapids and Crescent Island at Hot Chips will provide a closer look at the company’s progress across client computing, data centers and AI inference.
