Intel eyes $95 as Nvidia lifts semiconductor sentiment
Intel heads into the new session after holding key support around $85, while the broader backdrop for semiconductor stocks has improved noticeably. The main catalyst was Nvidia’s strong earnings report, which renewed investor interest in the AI trade.
The main driver for semiconductor stocks today was Nvidia’s earnings release. The company beat expectations for quarterly revenue and profit, while a strong medium-term outlook reinforced confidence that large-scale spending on AI infrastructure is not slowing yet.
Intel also outlined further plans for AI infrastructure. At September’s AI Infra Summit, the company is set to showcase solutions designed to scale AI from edge and enterprise environments to the cloud, with a focus on an open ecosystem and the integration of silicon, systems and software.

Holding $85 keeps Intel’s recovery scenario intact
The setup discussed earlier remains in play. Intel stock failed to establish itself above $91.65, but key support around $85 held, preserving the recovery structure.
A decisive break and sustained move above $91.65 would increase the probability of a further advance toward the $95–98.50 area.
A clear break below $85 would invalidate the rebound. As long as the stock remains above this level, buyers could make another attempt to extend the recovery..
AI enthusiasm supports Intel but overheating risks build
The main factor behind Intel’s positive premarket performance was Nvidia’s strong earnings report. The results once again confirmed that demand for AI infrastructure remains robust and that investors are not yet ready to abandon the AI trade.
That strength also creates the main risk. After an extended rally, valuations across many semiconductor and AI-related stocks remain elevated, leaving the sector increasingly sensitive to even a modest deterioration in expectations. Nvidia’s results therefore support Intel’s recovery case, but the setup also calls for tighter risk management as overheating risks build.
