Will Adyen hold bullish structure as key support comes into focus?
Adyen shares fully played out the previous scenario, correcting toward the 200-day SMA near €1,040. The ability to hold €1,017 will now determine whether the medium-term bullish structure remains intact.
Two previously announced leadership changes have now taken effect at Adyen. Hwa Tsao has become interim CFO following Ethan Tandowsky’s departure on August 31, while the search for a permanent chief financial officer continues. Adyen previously stressed that the CFO transition does not change its existing financial targets.
At the same time, Nicole Olbe has taken over Adyen’s EMEA business as regional president from September 1 after three years leading the UK & Ireland operations. Her mandate will focus on accelerating regional growth and further scaling the platform.

€1,017 remains the key line between correction and reversal
The scenario from the previous analysis fully played out, with Adyen shares falling toward the 200-day SMA near €1,040.
If buyers fail to push the price sustainably back above this moving average, the probability of a further decline toward the nearest support at €1,017 would increase noticeably.
Despite the correction, the medium-term structure remains bullish as long as the price stays above €1,017. The main target remains unchanged at €1,200–1,250.
A decisive break and sustained move below €1,017 would be the first significant signal of a shift toward a bearish structure. In that case, the next downside area would be €1,000–950.
The next support test could define Adyen’s medium-term direction
The current correction has not yet invalidated the medium-term setup, but the margin of safety has narrowed considerably. A recovery back above the 200-day SMA would improve the technical picture and preserve the possibility of a gradual move toward €1,200–1,250.
If €1,017 fails to hold, however, the short-term correction could develop into a deeper decline toward €1,000–950. This support therefore becomes the main reference point for buyers over the coming sessions.
