Adyen shares face €920 support risk ahead of Q3 update
Adyen tests €920 as the rebound approaches a key decision point

Adyen has recovered part of its losses after a deep correction, but the rebound is approaching its first serious test. The market now has to decide whether the move marks the start of a broader recovery or merely a temporary period of stabilisation.

FC Bayern München has extended its partnership with Adyen, which has been in place since 2023. The platform handles payments at Allianz Arena and across the club’s global e-commerce operations, while the renewed agreement will see the infrastructure expanded further across multiple sales channels.

Adyen is also preparing for changes to Europe’s payments framework. The company has updated its guidance around PSD3 and the Payment Services Regulation, which are set to broaden requirements covering authentication, fraud prevention, data sharing and open banking. Formal adoption of the new package is expected by the end of 2026.

Adyen needs €950 to extend the recovery towards €1,000

Adyen shares managed to stabilise around the previously identified €840 level before staging a local recovery. On 13 October, the price tested the €939 area.

Momentum is now showing its first signs of fading. A break and sustained move below €920 would be the first meaningful bearish signal and could extend the correction towards €900.

A move above €950 would invalidate that scenario. The first upside target would then be the 50-day SMA near €957, and clearing the moving average would create room for a broader recovery towards the psychological €1,000 level.

Q3 update becomes the next major test

The next major catalyst arrives on 28 October, when Adyen is due to publish its Q3 Business Update. After the sharp correction, investors will be watching closely for signs that growth remains intact and that the company can preserve its operating momentum.

Until then, the shares may remain highly sensitive to sentiment across the broader European technology sector, making the reaction within the €920–950 range particularly important.
