Take-Two Interactive targets $220 as bullish divergence emerges before GTA VI
Take-Two shares are showing the first signs of a technical recovery after a prolonged decline. A bullish RSI divergence is emerging as investor attention increasingly shifts toward the approaching release of GTA VI.
TTWO gained around 0.6% in premarket trading following fresh comments from Rockstar North co-lead Rob Nelson about the development of GTA VI. He said the lengthy production cycle has made the team more selective about which social trends to satirize, with developers focusing on patterns of behavior likely to remain relevant by the time the game launches rather than short-lived internet trends.
Audience interest remains exceptionally strong. The 27-minute Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look attracted 31.1 million views on Netflix and ranked No. 1 in 87 of 93 tracked countries. In August, Take-Two also described GTA VI pre-order demand as “unprecedented,” while management maintained its forecast for record FY2027 Net Bookings of $8.0–8.2 billion. The game is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026.

Bullish RSI divergence points to a potential rebound
On the daily chart, TTWO has formed a bullish RSI (14) divergence while also approaching oversold territory.
For this setup to gain confirmation, buyers need to keep the stock above $211 for at least one more full trading session. In that case, the first target would be resistance around $220.50.
If momentum continues after a break above $220.50, the probability of a broader recovery toward the 200-day SMA near $228 would increase significantly.
The bullish setup would be invalidated by a break and sustained move below $211. Losing this level would indicate that the divergence has not yet received price confirmation and would bring the next support around $206 back into focus.
The real test begins when GTA VI goes on sale
As the November 19 release of GTA VI approaches, Take-Two shares are likely to become increasingly sensitive not only to official Rockstar announcements, but also to pre-order data, reviews, new promotional material and any changes in expectations surrounding the launch. The stakes are already exceptionally high: Take-Two itself is forecasting a record FY2027, while management has described early demand for GTA VI as unprecedented.
The real test will begin in the first days after release. Initial sales will show whether GTA VI can convert extraordinary expectations into commercial results that match the record-breaking launch already priced into the market.
At the same time, a series of GTA VI leaks has added another source of headline risk for Take-Two and has coincided with a noticeable deterioration in the stock’s technical picture.
