Mixed momentum signals emerge as price tests major technical levels

On the daily chart, NDAQ/USD is positioned above its MA-20 but remains below the MA-50, with long-term support established by the MA-200. The Ichimoku Kijun at $90.19 serves as the first level of downside support. Technically, momentum signals are divergent: RSI prints 59.88, pointing toward further buying, while the MACD and ADX both suggest a bearish or corrective bias. Stoch RSI, CCI, and Bull/Bear Power are all in overbought territory, confirming dominant intraday buying but signaling a potential overextension short term.

Consolidation expected as downside risk outweighs breakout odds

For the next several sessions, price action is likely to consolidate within the typical volatility band between $88.7 and $93.6. The probability of an upward breakout is estimated at 36%, making a move lower toward the bottom of the range more likely in the current setup. Should the price break above the upper boundary, a test of higher resistance is plausible, while a drop below $90.19 would increase the risk of a retest of the $88.7 support.

Viktoras Karapetjanc, expert at Traders Union, believes recent Nasdaq–Payward developments reinforce Nasdaq's leadership in digital asset regulation and innovation. He sees institutional confidence growing, with partnerships in the tokenization space enhancing long-term value. Short-term signals are mixed, but buyer momentum remains robust above support at $90.19. "Nasdaq's proactive digital asset strategy keeps optimism high — as long as key supports hold, the fundamental story favors further upside."

Previously it was reported that Nasdaq's expanded partnership with Payward aimed to deepen its involvement in digital asset infrastructure amid ongoing technical pressures. The current setup increases the relevance of monitoring $90.19 as a critical inflection point, as a sustained break below this level would raise the risk of further downside toward $88.7 in the near term.
